I grew up in Eugene, Oregon with a great family. We lived in a forest near a river, so I was outside constantly. Whether it was playing baseball, building a skateboarding ramp, or getting into trouble, you could usually find me outside. I chose to pursue a baseball dream after high-school which ultimately led me to finish a Psychology degree at a private college in Kansas.
My college years were when I was stunned with my first taste of adversity. I wasn’t getting the playing time on the field that I thought I deserved, I was drinking heavily, had terrible grades, and I gained around 60 lbs of fat. I had no confidence in myself, my ambition slowly dwindled away, and I blamed it on everyone else. I thought the world owed me something….I was wrong.
It was one of my last year before I graduated college where I woke up with a different attitude. I knew this was all of my fault, and I needed to take action to change it. I started taking my classes seriously, and went on a strict diet/fitness plan running 5 miles everyday. In two months I went from 230lbs down to 160lbs. I also graduated with my degree. This was the turning point in my life where I started to understand what kind of man I wanted to be.
From that point on, my fitness career was the center of my life. I moved to Hawaii and started doing Crossfit, surfing and learning how to eat the right food. I started traveling the world which gave me insight on different foods and training methods that are incorporated into a balanced lifestyle. After traveling, I ended up in San Diego, California. I started my coaching/personal training business in San Diego, where I obtained an amazing mentor/boss and friend named Jenny. She guided me to receive my Crossfit and Olympic lifting coaching certifications.
Now I am currently doing full time online coaching. I took my own personal experiences and the tools I have learned from my training to help with my coaching and I couldn’t be happier. I truly care about this job and I wake up every day excited and blessed that I am able to help individuals change their lives.
The world owes you nothing. If you don’t take action, you will live a miserable life… Depressed, unhealthy, and feeling lost. I know how that feels, and I would take my new life 100% of time. Just know it will not come easy,
YOU HAVE TO WANT IT.
